Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is characterized by persistent synovitis, systemic inflammation and presence of autoantibodies, mainly Rheumatoid Factor and Anticitrullinated peptide antibody. This condition develop in genetically susceptible individuals, where environmental factors interact, although the pathogenesis is not yet fully known. Since the disease was described until now, there have been major diagnostic and therapeutic advances. La Artritis Reumatoide (AR) se caracteriza por presentar una sinovitis persistente, inflamación sistémica y presencia de autoanticuerpos, fundamentalmente factor reumatoideo y anticuerpo anti-péptido citrulinado. Esta patología se desarrolla en individuos genéticamente susceptibles, donde interactúan diversos factores ambientales, aunque la patogenia aún no se conoce en su totalidad.
